Shqiptarët nën Perandorinë Osmane gjatë dekadës së fundit të shekullit XVIII dhe në fillim të shekullit XIX
Abstract
Me Paqen e Karllovcit, të vitit 1699, si dhe me Traktatin e Kyçyk Kainarxhisë, të vitit 1774, kishte përfunduar epoka e ekspansionit territorial të Perandorisë Osmane dhe kishte filluar periudha e ndërhyrjes së vendeve evropiane për caktimin e fatit të mëtejmë të saj, në rend të parë të Perandorisë Habsburgase dhe të Rusisë cariste. Ndërkohë në zonat shqiptare nën Perandorinë Osmane ishte rënduar gjendja ekonomike e sociale e popullsisë dhe një faktor shtesë në përkeqësimin, sidomos të pozitës së fshatarit, ishte edhe procesi i përhapjes së pronës private-çifllëkut, duke shtuar kështu në kurriz të tij edhe taksat e jashtëligjshme. Rrjedhimisht një mundësi e vogël për punësim e kësaj popullate luftarake ishte hyrja në shër- bimet ushtarake, qoftë si vullnetar-mercenarë, qoftë në mënyrë të imponuar nga perandoria apo edhe nga feudalët e fuqishëm lokalë. Në anën tjetër, po në fund të shekullit XVIII dhe në fillim të shekullit XIX, në hapësirat e banuara me shqiptarë u krijuan pashallëqe autonome, që vetëm formalisht i nënshtroheshin sulltanit.Downloads
