Shêjzat – Pleiades is a quarterly double-blind peer-reviewed journal. It deals with the Balkans and Albanian studies lending a special focus to linguistics, literature, historical and anthropological issues. Edited and published in Rome by Prof. Ernest Koliqi from 1957 to 1973, the journal offered the exiled Albanian scholars a platform for an intellectual movement abroad, challenging the-then official approaches of the regime of Tirana to cultural issues. Launched in 2016, the current new edition aims to follow in the footsteps of such tradition.
