Atmosfera e kulturës osmane është e pranishme në tekstet e Eposit të Kreshnikëve. Kjo vërehet, jo vetëm në sajë të fjalorit të pasur me turqizma, por edhe në aspekte të tjera të sjelljes dhe të gjendjes materiale të botës ku jetojnë kreshnikët. Më i dukshëm ky ndikim shfaqet në kulturën e trajnimit dhe të përdorimit të kuajve, që reflekton një aspekt të historisë ushtarake osmane, ku shqiptarët dhe popuj të tjerë të Ballkanit ishin aktivisht pjesmarrës. Mbarështimi dhe trajnimi i kuajve për qëllime ushtarake ishte një domosdoshmëri në rrethet ushtarake osmane, të paktën në periudhën klasike të kësaj perandorie. Në shumë këngë të Eposit të Kreshnikëve dëshmohet ky replikim, ku heronj të ndryshëm komunikojnë në gjuhën turke me kuajt e tyre të trajnuar, për të realizuar veprime konkrete të ndikuar nga rrethanat. Këtë lloj komunikim e kemi konsideruar si tipologji “realiste”, kundrejt një tjetër lloji komunikimi, që e kemi konsideruar “fantastike”. Ky lloj i dytë komunikimi konsiston më tepër në përmasën legjendare të Eposit. Ndikim tjetër nga kultura osmane është dhe trajtimi veterinar i kuajve, që e gjejme si reflektim të traktateve të mirënjohura të kohës, me prejardhje nga abasitët dhe mamlukët. Në Epos është i pranishëm dhe klasifikimi i kuajve, kryesisht përmes ngjyrave të tyre, ngjashëm si në kulturat turkike, arabe dhe osmane. Nuk mungojnë dhe të dhëna për ndikime legjendash dhe mitesh të kulturave myslimane, me përfshirjen e figurave simbolike si Dyldyli, apo dhe ai i kalit fluturues.
