NJË PËRPJEKJE PËR PËRVIJIMIN E RILINDASIT SHQIPTAR ALUSH SARAÇI NDËRMJET VITEVE 1895-1909

This paper aims to shed light on the contribution of Alush Saraçi to the development of national education in Albania at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. Drawing on archival sources and educational historiography, the author highlights Saraçi’s key role in the establishment of the Educational Commission of the Elbasan Sanjak and his efforts to institutionalize the teaching of the Albanian language under difficult political and social conditions. The text also examines his relationship with prominent Renaissance figures such as Kostandin Kristoforidhi, his involvement in national organizing efforts, and his influence on the founding of the Elbasan Normal School.
