Migration of the Albanians to the east balkans as a result of Skanderbeg’s struggle against the Ottoman Empire: Albanian settlements in Bujak and Azov sea region

Abstract

The present paper aims at investigating the demographic dynamics of Albanians in Ukraine, their ethnic and local identity, traditional culture, to analyze the social processes in the community of Albanians who live on the territory of the former Soviet Union Republics (Ukraine, Moldavia, and Russia) and the degree of ethnocultural and language interference happened due to long co-existence with neighboring ethnic groups.
