Abstract

Duke vënë në funksion një numër burimesh primare të Tribunalit Ndërkombëtar Penal për ish-Jugosllavinë në Hagë dhe burimeve sekondare të literaturës historiografike dhe juridike për çështjen e gjenocidit në përgjithësi, dhe gjenocidit në Jugosllavi në veçanti, punimi tenton të vendos një ligjeratë historiografik të zhvillimit të studimeve të gjenocidit dhe studimeve historike për gjenocidin dhe dhunën në masë. Duke përvetësuar një koncept tipologjik të dhunës kundër civilëve, punimi trajton format e ndryshme të dhunës siç janë ushtruar në Jugosllavi kundër civilëve, dhe njëkohësisht mundohet të vë analizën në ushtrimin e dhunës në masë dhe gjenocidit në kontekst të strategjive gjeopolitike për zgjerim territorial të shteteve të Ballkanit.
