Abstract

One of the most distinguished personalities of the Albanian people of Pollog at the first half of the 19th century and first decades of the 20th century was General Mehmet Pasha Deralla. He took his first education at his birthplace, continuing with the middle education in Shkup and Military Academy at Istanbul where he obtained the grade of the general. He was member of the Albanian Leagues of Prizren and Peja. During 1910- 1911 and 1912 he was involved in the uprising that took place in the Albanian lands. He was Minister of War in the Vlora Government.
