Abstract

Myocardial infarction is one of the life-threatening pathologies. The aim of this study is the recognition of the link between coff ee consumption and tobacco smoke with cardiovascular diseases. Methods: The study was conducted by collecting information from open network pharmacies in Shkoder, in QSUT “Mother Teresa” and in Durrës. For each patient was collected data on age, occupation, use of coff ee, energetic drinks, physical activity and family history. The data is processed statistically. There is also taken sample - case - control to determine experimentally the relationship between consumption of coff ee and the CYP1A2 genotypes with the risk for IM. Results, Conclusions: The incidence for HT illness and the risk for MI increase with the use of coff ee, cigarettes on persons who are homozygote for the variant 1F of caff eine.
