Abstract

It is generally accepted that the skin is a mirror of human health. In addition, neurological conditions may be accompanied by characteristic skin changes that are diagnostically significant. Therefore, a thorough and accurate examination of the skin can provide important clues in the neurological diagnostic process. The wide range of skin lesions and the wide spectrum of symptoms can make a simple differential diag-nosis difficult for non-dermatologists. Therefore, a multidisciplinary approach can be the key to a correct diagnosis. This article addresses this topic by discussing selected neurological disorders and describing and discussing the various skin manifestations associated with neurological signs and symptoms.
