Abstract

In the usual working practice of criminal prosecution bodies it becomes necessary to identify the perpetrator of a criminal offense, based on external features, who after committing the criminal offense, absconds the preliminary investigation conducted by the prosecutor. Identification of the perpetrator of a certain criminal offense, as an element of proof process, as well as the means and methods used, is conducted by reference to the features of each identification case, which will appear before the criminal prosecution authorities. For the search and identification of the perpetrator, among the tools used for identification such as: dactyloscopy, anthropometry, DNA method, signaling photography, etc. , as appropriate, it also helps questioning of the adult or minor witnesses, of the injured party who have been present when the criminal offense occurred in a specific setting and who have noted the perpetrator committing the criminal offense or escaping the crime scene, already after committing it.
