Abstract

This project consists in the realization of an information system of the fi rst aid center for a car accident. Because of the increasing number of the car accidents, an automated system has become necessary, which enables the monitoring and information of the accident wherever it happens during the ride. The system is totally based on the PIC family microcontroller (Peripheral Interface Controller) (1). The principle of this work consists in an alarm call (interrupt), when a car accident occurs; alarm displays when a collision with another vehicle occurs or it rotates because it goes out of the road. In the case the phenomenon occurs, the procedure to establish the call is activated, enabling accident monitoring center notifi cation. The determination of the position of the accident is given by the GPS module (2) and the GSM module (3) transmitting the correct data to the control center. The advantages of this implementation in the automotive industry, as well as in the current vehicles are: reduced fi rst aid time to injured persons, reduced possibility of death, as well as signifi cant reduction in time delay that is generated by the traffi c caused by the accident.
