Abstract

The academic dishonesty of students is a global phenomenon and also happens in our educational system, but about the cases published from around the world have been taken punitive measures, in our schools we hear every day about copying or other forms of academic dishonesty and few punitive measures have been taken. This study aims to reveal the eff ects that academic dishonesty has in the formation of the student’s personality. Research questions are: Does the academic dishonesty aff ect the formation of the student’s personality? Will students become more “lazy” as they benefi t from the academic dishonesty? Review of literature is an important part of the methodology because it will support the theoretical study to better fulfi l its purpose. Meanwhile, results from an advance review of literature support the idea that academic dishonesty has an impact in the formation of the student’s personality.
