The construction of surgical guides combines three elements: 3D scan radiological images, a patient’s virtual wax-up model and digital images of a patient’s intraoral scan. The software program makes the individualization of the alveolar inferior nerve. It defines the positioning of future prosthetic work and then the position of implants, this is where the concept of planning in reverse takes place. Where virtual positioning of future prosthetic work is initially done, and then the program guides the position of the implants and the construction of the surgical guide. In today’s studies it is widely accepted that this is a technique that facilitates and improves the work of the dental surgeon. Likewise, publications show that surgical guides also have their problematics. Where the most important, the deviations from the axis. According to some authors, the average deviation in the neck is about 1mm and the average deviation in apex about 1.5mm, but with great variation in values from study to study. For many authors, tooth-supported guides have greater accuracy compared to other types. Keywords:
