Abstract

Analysis of the criminal offense of forgery of letters, passports or visas according to Albanian criminal legislation The paper analyzes the form of the criminal offense of forgery of letters, passports or visas, reflecting the way in which this form of criminal offense has been implemented in Albanian judicial practice. The paper will reflect the historical evolution of this form of criminal offense according to Albanian criminal legislation. A comparative analysis will be made of this figure of the criminal offense with the figures of the criminal offenses which are provided in the criminal legislation of some member states of the European Union. The difference between the form of the criminal offense will be analyzed falsification of letters, passports or visas with other images provided by the Criminal Code of the Republic of Albania. The research questions that will be answered in the scientific paper are: Is this figure of the criminal offense correctly implemented in the Albanian criminal jurisprudence? What differences exist between the relevant criminal offense provided by the Albanian Penal Code and the criminal legislation of the EU countries? Is there a need for legislative changes in the Albanian criminal legislation for this criminal offense? The work is based on historical, analytical and comparative methods.
