Abstract

Trajtimi ortodontik nuk ka të bëjë vetëm me arritjen e një buzëqeshjeje të bukur. Bëhet fjalë gjithashtu për përmirësimin e shëndetit të përgjithshëm oral dhe parandalimin e problemeve të ardhshme dentare. Ndërhyrja e hershme ortodontike, shpesh e quajtur trajtimi i fazës 1, mund të jetë vendimtare në trajtimin e çështjeve para se ato të zhvillohen në probleme më të rënda. Kjo metodë proaktive mund të ndihmojë në udhëheqjen e rritjes së nofullës dhe dhëmbëve, të zvogëlojë nevojën për trajtime më invasive më vonë dhe të ofrojë përfitime afatgjata si për estetikën ashtu edhe për funksionalitetin.
