Abstract

Ameloblastoma është tumori odontogjenik më sinjifikant. Është një tumor beninj me rritje të ngadaltë dhe me tendencë të lartë invazioni lokal , mund të rritet në dimensione shumë të mëdha pa dhënë metastaza. Ameloblastoma ka nje kurs rekurent dhe agresiv por që rrallë herë jep metastaza në distance1. Nga ana radiologjike ka karakteristika të ngjashme me tumorin gjigandocelular , cistin kockor aneurismal, apo metastazat nga tumoret renale. Diagnoza definitive realizohet vetëm me anë të histopatologjisë ku rëndësi specifike ka testimi I mutacionit të genit BRAF me anë të teknikave imunohistokimike2. Pacientët zakonisht paraqiten vonë , kur masa ka arritur dimensione të konsiderueshme dhe është shfaqur deformimi facial. Këtu do të prezantojmë një rast të një pacienteje 47 vjeçare e cila shfaqet në spital me ankesën e një mase në nivel mandibular. Pacientja është operuar para 7 vitesh për ameloblastomë cystike.
