Abstract

This article focuses on description of a patriotic Kosovar- Albanian family living in Diaspora, which lived in deep poverty and overcame with huge difficulties Serb oppression for many years. Its bread winner was threatened with imprisonment because of his distinguished activities on the field of education. As a teacher and leader of civil society at a large institution he had abandoned Serb educational system by converting ordinary houses into schools. Being under constant pressure and having to fend for a family with six children and facing many difficulties he decided to immigrate to Austria. Thanks to Austrian local authorities he gradually overcame all complex difficulties of integration.

The article reveals Mehmeti family and its efforts to stabilize and integrate as well as educating their children at highest level including post-university studies in Austria and Japan.
The author presents this case as an inspiring example for Albanian girls not only in Kosova and Austria but, at a wider space. She intends to build a concrete model regarding emancipation of Albanian woman, wherever they might be. This is in fact the back bone of article.
