From Albanian mill to turbines

Abstract

In the scientific article “From Albanian mills to the turbines” on the basis of a careful analysis of the hydro-technical construction since the ancientness in Albania, it is chosen that of mills.
This, according to us, was the result of efforts to improve the conditions for a better life for the people regarding nutrition.
Here it is noted the wisdom, mastery and practicality of the natives to put in use even in subduing the forces of nature and making use of them for their own benefit.
Efforts to exploit the benefits of water along the centuries were materialized with the building of mill for grinding the grain of bread.
In the coming decades, as a consequence of scientific work and experiments in yards, it was made possible to pass from the Albanian milling type to completed modern hydro- technical works.
Based on what was explained above, achievements in this field can be grouped:
- Albanian mill for milling the grains of bread was a big achievement for vital services.
- The kinematical and hydraulic scheme of the Albanian mill provided and implemented by native masters, assures the grinding of grains of bread by preserving the aroma, flavor and nutritional values of the milled product.
- Albanian milling for grains in Albania and not only there is not only precursor of factories for grinding of grains, but also of over and underground turbines.
For this, it is highly estimated the contribution of scientists given along the years to enable the transition from the mill to various turbines up to the time ones.
