Abstract

Museums are thought to be for everyone. The word "museum" means a building or institution in which objects of historical, scientific, artistic or cultural interest to society are preserved and exhibited. According to this definition, does it mean that this building or institution is accessible
only to people with normal eyesight?!
Another definition says that a museum is the collection of objects held in an institution for the public good. According to this definition, does it not mean that this collection of objects is kept by the institution only for certain or privileged individuals?!
We have come to the conclusion that museums are also at the service of visually impaired people. Museums are also visited by people with disabilities, their families and friends. Museums should be welcoming, warm and inclusive places, accessible and positive for people with disabilities to visit and work in.
Change must begin with us, to break down personal barriers, to raise our voices, to be heard by family, community and society. Life makes sense when it brings you small changes, which are magnified and multiplied tomorrow.
