Zbatimi i mësimit dual në Kosovë: përvoja dhe perspektiva nga udhëheqësit e shkollave

Implementation of the dual education in Kosovo represents an important step towards the integration of students into the labor market through a combination of theoretical teaching and professional practice in the workplace. This study aims to explore the implementation of the dual education model in Kosovo, highlighting the challenges, benefits and key leadership experiences in schools that have implemented this education model in the 2023/2024 school year. Through an analysis of data collected from directors of vocational schools and Centers of Competence, the study illustrates the way in which the process of implementing education has been led in these municipalities and schools. The methodology used includes interviews with directors of vocational schools and Centers of Competence, as well as analysis of data collected from official documents and relevant literature. The study contributes to the existing literature by providing an in-depth assessment of the leadership of the dual education model in the Kosovo context, focusing on how school leadership according to this model can be adapted in a country with specific economic and social challenges. The results show that vocational schools and Competence Centers involved in the implementation of dual education programs have reported increased student interest in learning according to this model, as well as a practical opportunity to improve relations between vocational education institutions and the private sector. However, leaders identify various challenges that have affected the implementation of dual education, which were related to the need to improve the legal infrastructure, the preparation of programs and guidance materials for teachers/instructors and students, and the provision of a sufficient number of businesses that offer internships for all students. This study concludes that dual education in Kosovo offers a sustainable model to link vocational education with the needs of the labor market. To support improved implementation in the future, the need for continued commitment from central and local leadership levels, vocational education institutions, as well as the private sector to address existing challenges is emphasized.
