Abstract

Knowledge and learning have always been considered important by the Albanians and they are such up to date. This has been a time of intensive social transformations due to the collapse of the dark totalitarian regime and due to the new problems of the fast-paced country’s modernization with trends leading to decades-long-anticipated innovations. Therefore, these and other phenomena broke the balance between culture, science, and social development in the family and society.
We deem this reflection necessary, because nowadays there is the frequent discourse of a human spiritual crisis, besides the absence of economic and physical security of the “modern” man.
Life bliss is associated not only with entertainment in its minute meaning but also with the intellectual appearance of our existence, regardless of our education level. This is related to the man’s status and his relationship with society (complex in its entirety). Life should not become more complicated than it already is. This insignificant claim refers to the annoying tendency of a part of society to cause problems and make things difficult. Problems arise naturally, while solutions always require our attention, energy, and effort. Complaints and lamentations never seem to provide a solution for us. We have to admit that sometimes, our lives become complicated and gradually fall into disorder rather than remain simple and structured.
A piece of advice, a wise speech, at times a common discourse are sufficient to drives people to talk about the Creator, the rule of law, the healthy family, the equality between the creatures, all linked to one of the great forces of our universe, the Creator. This type of thinking is so essential to us today, as it is the only force that will regulate everyone’s life tomorrow.
Imagine you receive a box of puzzled pieces and scatter them on a table. Theoretically, it is possible that the pieces fall perfectly into the right place and create a complete mosaic after you throw them out of the box. But in reality, this never happens.
Why?
Very simple; because the negative chances are against drastically. Each piece should fall to the right place to create a complete puzzle. There is only one possible case where each piece falls to the right place, but there is an almost infinite number of cases where the pieces are falling irregularly. In mathematical terms, a regular result is incredibly difficult to occur randomly.
Again, in theory, it is possible that wind and waves move the sand and form the shape of your sand castle. But in practice, this never happens. Chances are astronomically higher that the sand will accumulate in an odd pile. There are always many more variants of irregularity than regular ones. Left in its course, life becomes less structured. Sand castles are destroyed. The weeds depredate the gardens. The ancient remnants get destroyed. Machines start to rust and people gradually become old. In time, even the mountains undergo erosion and their sharp peaks become rounded.
The inevitable trend is that things become less organized.
This is known as the Second Law of Thermodynamics.
It is one of the basic concepts of chemistry and one of the basic laws of the universe created by God. This law applies to human beings and human societies from their very beginning until the end of life in this world.
Therefore, it must be strongly believed that without a relationship with God, life tends to lose its regularity, while with faith you can solve the scattered puzzle. You can dig the weeds out of your garden. You can tidy the messy room. You can organize individuals to have an ideal healthy society tomorrow. But because part of the universe naturally shifts to disorder, you have to spend energy to create stability in this society which needs structure and simplicity. Successful relationships require care and attention. Regular homes need cleaning and maintenance. Successful teams need communication and collaboration. Without effort and investment with positive energy in life, things break down.
The Danish philosopher and theologian Soren Kierkegaard (1813 -1855) saw the human dimension of existence in two fundamental perspectives. Firstly, in despair, which according to him stems from the relationship of man to oneself; secondly, in anxiety, related to the relationship of man to the world. The latter, according to Kierkegaard, appears as a feeling of emptiness arising from the inability of man to be self-sufficient without the help of God. Thus, the Danish philosopher poses the problem of human existence in two perspectives: the perspective of individuality and the relationship of man to God. This concept created by Kierkegaard was due to his theology background. Therefore, one of the goals of life, mind and human effort is: to put energy and information in fight off the deviated wave and favoring the streams of useful order.
Keeping order when confronted by chaos is not easy and this applies to the Albanian youth because their most challenging task today is the simplification of their lives since they are all drawn to more complex lives.
The collection and cultivation of human values will shape the body of our nation tomorrow, and this can be organized and achieved in numerous ways that almost all lead to improving the orientation of thinking by adding more positive daily elements throughout life. In mathematical terms, the chances of a better life for all of us are terribly high. In a universe where positive energies rule each and everyone’s day and night, success and stability in life and society is astonishing. In the general meaning of the word, in this context, the issue of the societal spirituality is particularly important. It is the pattern of man deriving from antiquity with which spirituality relates.
In this reflection, one also finds links to the quest for the divine truth and to the space of beautiful ties between art and science.
The concept of man as the binomial Body and Soul was born with Socrates, as put forward in Plato’s works. The soul appears in man at the moment of conception in the mother’s womb and leaves the body after death. Therefore, according to Plato, the soul is the source of purity, feeling, reasoning, and knowledge. Humanities provide interesting explanations why art and beauty are so aesthetically pleasing. Artists create a form of order and symmetry that the universe has created and continuously generates. However, this happens rarely in the myriad of likelihoods. The number of beautiful combinations is much smaller compared to the total number of combinations. Similarly, a symmetrical face is found rare and beautiful as there was the likelihood for it to be asymmetrical. The beauty is rare and unattainable in a messy universe. And that gives us more reasons to protect art and knowledge. We must keep them and treat them as sacred. The Albanian society today needs a combination of talents, skills and interests specific to our society. Since we already live in a wider global environment and culture than three decades ago, and here lie the opportunities to develop the living environment, this is the right environment to develop talents among the generations.
