Abstract

Middle East, Mediterranean banks and Orient in general, have always been an ever-flowing resource of culture and civilization.
In these areas, culture is so rich that it is found everywhere. One can find it to a sheep shepherd, to a baker, in the ruins of of the ancient civilizations. You can find it into the poetry of Khajam, Saadi, in the remote Uzbekistan, in the exotic Levant, in the fables of “stupid” Behlul, in Arab folklore and, surely, the elite of these wise-sayings is found in Qur’an and in Hadiths of Pejgamber (p.b.u.h).
All these wise-sayings show the long human experience, the relationship of man with man.
In general, the books that we buy, usually in the book-shops, finely complete a determined field, a fixed theme. But, when I have sought to buy a book that could include all the achieved themes of the world, I have not had money, because I should have to buy many series of volumes, even encyclopedias to assemble the entire human knowledge.
Then, the solution of my dilemma was only one: To find a book that could assamble all the knowledge in only one. So, I bought a book with wise-sayings, because there I saw all the world knowledge together.
In fact, this could not be achieved even by great professors; This has not been written even by famous academies. That has been issued by the academy called “popular source”. It has been announced by an old man somewhere in the fire-place, black from the smoke, in a forgotten house on the mountain-top. It was the amanet (final order) that the father left to his son before dyeing; It was the keenest sarcasm of a man, who was considered mad by the indifferent world.

The book you have in your hands today, is a subtle effort of its author, who needed years to collect mouth-data and wise-sayings from the popular source of different countries of Orient, just as one good doctor would wander around hills and mountains to select among flora the leaves of those medical plants, with which he could prepare the appropriate medicines needed for many diseases.
Albanian Islamic Institute of Thought and Civilization, has provided great values for Albanian readers. Its choice to publish this book has been perfect, and this, because of the above mentioned reasons. This book has been published in a lot of different world languages, even in Esperanto language, a language little known by the vast public.
I have to thank the author of this book, Mr. Huseyn Al Amily, and its translator from Esperanto language, Mr. Bardhyl Selimi, for this colossal work, done to bring to the Albanian readers this exceptionally concentrated oriental wisdom. A thesaurus of money makes the pocket full; while, the thesaurus of word prolongs life.
