Bon voyage to the ethno-choreographic series of Prof. R. Bogdani
Abstract
As part of a series of ethnographical editions, publication of the volume “Ethno- choreography” with author Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bogdani has taken place recently.
This volume contains studies covering a 15-year gap from 1965 to 1979.
Also, in this book there are published 34 separate articles, most of which see the light of publication for the first time.
Thus, subject of this volume is compiled from two main sources:
1. Published articles, which have assumed a new dimension determined by the density of material or enrichment with details that have not been dealt with previously.
2. Articles published for the first time, which have not seen the light of publication so far for various reasons.
In the plane of commentaries on the ratio between the topic related to traditional realm and that of the contemporary one, the former has priority as being more ancient in the aspect of the folkloric grounding and distinguished authenticity.
For this we judge that it has also been taken into consideration the methodological principle that study of the past serves to the present and future as well.
Articles of this volume fall generally into some specific clusters, covering as follows:
1) Research expeditions in the filed.
2) Local folk festivals, both national and international.
3) Instincts of choreographic units.
4) Reflections on commentaries.
5) References
6) Documents’ collections.
7) Research macro-articles.
8) Construction of ethno-choreographic volumes.
Of course, names of coauthors, associates and publishing bodies are accordingly cited in each article separately, as it is applied for the other articles of personal character that constitute the majority in this volume.
Also, there is room to estimate the hard and dedicated work carried out by the Section of Technology at the Institute of Folk Culture regarding to the musical, filmic and partially photographic transcripts of some processes of the laboratory character.
Like in other publications that bear as author the Professor Ramazan H. Bogdani, a special place is dedicated also to the résumé in English.
This allows the values of Albanian popular culture to be recognized and to become wealth of libraries and researchers in different countries of the world, with which the author maintains a regular correspondence.
