Writers' pray

Abstract

Already, God in Albania is wholeheartedly loved and respected by every Albanian believer. Albania, as a country inhabited chiefly by Muslims, exercises in full freedom three religious faiths, which are in perfect harmony with each- other, thus being an example of harmony and coexistence to all humanity. Albanians mention God in their National Anthem as well and scarcely has any people in the world done this: "Because God Himself spoke it out, that nations fade out from above the earth, but Albania will live ...."

Before conveying spiritual messages and cultivate their literary works, Albanian writers approached the Great Omniscient and Merciful Creator. Almost all Albanian writers have prayed to God. The Writers' pray is a heavenly voice in the world's literature as well. Great world's writers of every literary genre and creative period, found this as sustain of their artistic works. Besides the human aspect, they convey also the tolerance, thing that they found in the teachings of religion, especially in Koran, where it was written, "For you is your religion, and for me is my religion." (Koran, 109:6).

The words of Prophet Muhammad (saw), "... knowledge is a friend in desert, companion in loneliness, guide in destiny, and reliever in pain" offered them the space where time hindered their walk.

I can conclude these lines with the words of the famous American poet, Robert Frost, "O God, please hear me!"
