Gradec of Tetovo, in those beautiful valleys on the shore of Sharr Mountain, would wake up on a remote spring of 1848 spring with several gunshots. In the house of Hasan Deralla, a boy was born. At that time, many Albanian boys took the streets of Anatolia in order not to return, but anyway the birth of a boy was a white omen for our great families.
Hasani, Mehmed's father, enjoyed special respect not only in Tetovo and Gostivar, but also beyond. His anti-Serb activity included from conversations in the towers and assemblies where BESA was given and to the open war with arms against the goals of annexation, against the fires that chauvinist Belgrade was blowing. His generosity was also known in 1878, when Serbs took one of their wildest campaigns to expel Albanians from their lands. Disconnected with fire and iron from their trunk, Albanians could not be turned into dry leaves, to be blurring even from the chauvinistic storm. Hence, Hasan talks at the men's assembly in Gradec and taking protective actions to secure Albanians - refugees in his homeland, at the same time took care of 200-250 families. He took care for several months for these families, up to Skopje, where Hasan's name would be heard for the goodness he made. At the same time Hasan Deralla was among the leaders of the Albanian League of Prizren. Separately for the Polog region, he aimed and organized a regular military formation, albeit small in number. Although among the foremost of the Albanian national movement for independence, Hasan took time to deal with his son Mehmet, planting in him the love for Albanian people and lands.
