Persecution of the Deralla family from Tetova

Abstract

This topic that I’m bringing for discussion consists on the family persecution of the patriot and one of the ideologues of Albania's declaration of independence, Mehmet Pashë Derralla. Even today, while we are writing on this subject, some issues still remain enigma regarding this great door of Albanians, which gave everything to the new Albanian state, the Republic of Albania. It’s presented as a hypothesis why Deralla's family was brutally driven out of Tetovo, to whom represented an obstacle such a powerful family and how their property was seized. How did Gajuri, one of Mehmet Pashë Deralla's sons ended up as a prisoner at Yugoslav and Slav-Macedonian prisons, as well as the Deralla family's saga until the final escape into Italy and later in America.
Why did Halim Deralla's family leave long ago to Tirana, while Hysen Deralla's family was ordered to be escorted in Albania on a truck followed by the Yugoslav secret police (OZNA), leaving him free at the border with Albania. These are only some facts that are going to be analyzed on my research on the persecution that was made to the family of Mehmet Pashë Deralla.
