Abstract

The short stories of “A Night Enigma” form a diamond-pieced mosaic from the in-depth human soul from around the world centered on the characters created by Albania. Through these characters, the conveyed message is that Albanians are a people who compete with other peoples for the very supreme culture they carry and follow. Today’s man has a distinguished curiosity about the world we live in and seeks to learn about the nature of the planet up to the limits of complete knowledge. In Jack London’s short stories, the Americans curiosity in the early twentieth century about the north of their continent was satisfied, while in Avdulla Kënaçi’s short stories, the Albanians’ curiosity about Canada was satisfied. His stories introduce a fragment of Canada for the Albanians who have not been in this country and it also brings a fragment of Albania to Canada. More than anyone else, the writer builds bridges between both peoples. One of those bridges is named after Avdulla Kënaçi. Numerous Albanian and Canadian readers, after the author translates the volume in English will be spiritually closer to one another. Avdulla Kënaçi’s characters are full of optimism that life must live with all our soul, throughout the dimension of human life. The stories of this volume seem to be the shared roof under which individuals from all continents live, individuals who send messages to each other to make this world more beautiful and friendly.
